Analysis: Quanzell is a hard-hitting run stopper. He is what most defensive coaches would call a "hunter" which is the type of LB that excels in being able to freely hunt down the ball carrier and take them down. There are times where Quanzells decision making to commit to the run needs to be slightly faster but game-time experience will fix that. Quanzell has good speed for a LB. A great attribute of Quanzells playmaking is his ability to play sideline-to-sideline. He is the type of LB that opposing teams must take into consideration. Teams are going to need to attempt to double team him in order to slow his point of attack. With continous practice and hard work look for this LB to have a big junior year.

In the 2012 class, Alston's fellow linebacker, Quanzell Lambert could end up being one of the most heavily-recruited prospects in the Garden State next year. Lambert is a 6-3, 230-pounder that started on the varsity squad as a sophomore and registered 64 tackles, four for loss, one forced fumble and a pass deflection last season.

"I show dedication on the field and keep my head up," said Lambert. "Whenever a teammate is down, I try to encourage them. They have to stay in the game. It's a competitive sport, but you can't always go out there cocky."

Now has roughly 12 offers from Pitt, PSU, Rutgers, Iowa, UCF, Northwestern, Iowa..

“I’d like to visit Connecticut, Northwestern and Nebraska,” Lambert said. “Close schools (like Rutgers and Penn State) probably are going to get the first visits. I get a lot of mail from Penn State.”

Lambert is approaching the 20 offer mark. Iowa, Nebraska, North Carolina State, Northwestern, Penn State, Purdue, Rutgers, South Carolina and Virginia all have issued early verbal offers. Don’t expect a decision to come too early.

“It’s probably going to be three weeks before signing day,” he said. “I want to make sure that the coaching situations are stable and all, so I have to wait and see what happens during the season.”

There are several aspects of a program that Lambert will be evaluating when he makes unofficial and official visits.
