The Panthers (12-2, 2-0) have rebounded nicely from losing four of the five starters from a team that went 31-5 and was nipped at the buzzer by Villanova in the NCAA Elite Eight. Pittsburgh logged the program's first-ever No. 1 ranking last season and is the Big East's only program to reach the NCAA Tournament each of the last eight seasons.

Sophomore Ashton Gibbs tied a career high with six 3-pointers in the Panthers win at Syracuse, but the Orange thought the key to Pittsburgh's fourth consecutive win was the Panther defense.

Down 6 at the half. Gates has 12 points, 9 boards, and 3 blocks...easily his best first half this year, if memory serves me. Lance has at least 11, maybe 13. But that's pretty much it. Vaughn has a 3, but UC is getting nothing from Davis, Bishop, Wright, Toyloy, or Wilks. I believe Dixon and Thomas have a bucket each.
Right now it's pretty much 5 on 2. The defense could be better, but they have made some good plays there, and are rebounding decently. Need to contest their 3's better, as it's killing the Bearcats.
Get R Dun.

Tough game to lose, especially when we were right there the entire game. Bad switches on defense that left guys shooting wide open 3's were a killer. Some bad shots, but especially interior passing was awful on our end, and very nice on theirs. Something to work on, me thinks.
FT shooting is improving, as is the intensity...but damn, the crowd can't sit on their hands waiting for dunks in tight games. Come on, man!
