When we win the AAC, not if, I can see the selection committee giving us anywhere from a 1 to a 3 seed for the NCAA tourney.

Going the rest of the way in AAC play, I only see one more loss if they continue to play at this level. AT Loserville. And we could very well win that game as well.

This is going to be a very very very special year in March and April!!!

SOS is going to hurt come Selection Sunday. Having 10 conference games against teams 100+ in the RPI will likely drop the seed a line or two.

I think we'll end up with 4 or 5 conference losses and a 4/5 seed depending on the conference tournament. That would be one hell of an accomplishment for a team that was seen as no better than a bubble team at the start of the season.

1 loss. How do you figure?

I think we are going to finish the regular season around 26-5. We've got return dates with SMU and Memphis, plus 4 games against Louisville and UConn. Realistically I think we split those 6 games. I don't think we'll drop any other conference games, but I wouldn't be shocked if we laid an egg on the road somewhere (almost did today).

Even if we finish 26-5, I think we'll have to get to the conference finals to get a 2 seed. Otherwise, I am predicting a 3 seed, unless we fail to win any games in the conference tournament... then we could slip to a 4 seed.

Honestly, I'm not too concerned about seeding. Anything in the top 4 is pretty good, and there aren't any truly dominant teams out there... Arizona is awfully good though.

Once we get to the tournament, it all comes down to match-ups, Jackson staying out of foul trouble, and guys knocking down open shots. If those 3 things work in our favor, we've got as good of a chance as anyone to win it all.

I stopped reading right here. I love optimism and excitement, but simply assuming we've got this thing locked up with 12 games to go is idiotic. BearcatMick has outdone himself with this one.

Now that that mini-rant is over, I think at this point they are most deserving of a 4-5 seed. Yeah, they've got a great record and all that, but they haven't truly "wowed" me lately. I'm not complaining at all, because we're winning, but to be a 3 seed or higher, you need to DOMINATE these teams that took us 35 minutes into the game to pull away.

They may not have "wowed" you lately, but honestly, who has? The top teams this year haven't been separating themselves like in years past. A 3 seed is not out of the question if this team can keep winning. They will have plenty of games down the stretch to make an impression on the selection committee.

What people fail to realize or accept is that a college basketball season is full of ebb and flow. Syracuse is 18-0 and has scored 70 points once since December 31st and in the 50's or lower 3 times. The key is to be flowing at the right time. You're going to have ups and downs. Especially with injuries and adjustments mid season.

Jason I agree with you. Other than Arizona, and Cuse, really not a lot of difference in quality of teams. We fit right in there.

I honestly can't get a read on Arizona. I think the Pac 12 is overrated. They are deep and talented and they wear teams down. Like I said, Cuse has only been over 70 points once since Dec. 31st. I think they too are beatable. The ACC is really down. This will be a really fun NCAA Championship this season.

I really think Mich State has the best team in the country when Payne is healthy. If he is healthy for the NCAA tourney, they are my favorites to win. But I agree the field is wide open, this could be the year were anyone up to an 11 seed wins it all.

Whoever figures out how to effectively break Cuse's zone will beat them. Just that nobody has..........yet.

Agreed, but don't take anything away from Pitt yesterday. They played a great game. Obviously from a UC perspective I'd have loved to see them knock Cuse off, but at least its pretty obvious Pitt is a very good team.

Arizona is very athletic and they are deep. Miller has a good team. Cuse can be beat but it won't be easy. Long, seasoned and play that zone to perfection. Your right on about the ACC.

You have to make 3's against their zone to get it stretched to create creases and take care of the ball. Cuse will kill you off turnovers. Ennis is the consumate pg and they have CJ Fair. The thing is to beat them you have to knock down shots for 40 minutes. The other piece to the puzzle, and people probably get tired of me saying this, is the mid-range game. The creases that are created make it mandatory to hit the 12-15 ft. jump shot and that's a lost art in the ESPN age.

If I had to pick 4 teams for the final 4 right now:

Arizona
Michigan State
Wichita State (just think they can make it back)
Had been thinking OK State but now think Kansas.

Kansas has been tested, has some great wins and seems to be getting better.

It's a wide open field though and lots of team can go on a run depending on the matchups. My picks will probably change in a few weeks ;)

You have to get the ball in the crease to shoot that shot which means crisp passing and lots of movement - not perimeter passing.

Kansas has by far the highest ceiling of any college basketball team. By March, I think they'll be the favorite to win it all. They have 6 guys on the roster that are going to get drafted. Including two top 5 picks. I also like Arizona, Syracuse and Michigan State. Also look out for Florida, they are always dangerous in the tournament because they can really score the ball.

I agree with that. I also think UL is a very dangerous team. They have a lot of size and skilled players. That Harrell guy I think thats his last name has looked real beasty lately.

I agree. There is no one on Wiggins level especially in big games. He's a game changer.

I feel like MSU and AZ are pretenders. Syracuse is the real deal as well.
