Was considering UC and ND. With BK possibly ending up at ND as early as tomorrow, I do think it's possible that the final three could be tOSU, Florida, and ND.
With ND having only ONE OL verbal thus far, I would expect BK to hit him hard within the next month or so. I think with BK leaving, this puts the nail in the coffin for him coming to UC (if it wasn't in for over a month already).
James is supposedly coming to UC this weekend. Doesn't look good for Florida now. I'd say that UC is a huge darkhorse, but you never know. Maybe ND, more likely tOSU. Hopefully the visit will turn him back towards the Bearcats.
I don't see James going to UC, and I hope I'm terribly wrong on this. My gut says OSU, then ND, then UC. ND may have moved up with James if Massa goes there, but he is pretty close to the vest AND...it may not effect his decision materially.
ND has an outside chance of getting Sentreal Henderson, and so does Ohio State. I think James could possibly see what school Henderson chooses. If Sentreal picks tOSU. Him coming to ND or UC is more likely. If he doesn't, then all bets are off, IMO.
James spoke about the opportunity of playing early at ND, which wouldn't be the case at tOSU. He also stated that UC wasn't even at option at this point.
No kidding dude.
Sentreal Henderson could wind up at USC, instead of tOSU. What seemed like a virtual lock for ND, James could waver and wind up in Columbus. Tomorrow is going to be a fun day (as long as the UC recruits don't waver).
PANAMA CITY, Fla. - St. Xavier offensive lineman Matt James, one of the nation’s most sought-after football recruits, died Friday in a fall from a hotel balcony on a Gulf of Mexico beach while on spring break.
James, 17, died almost instantly after falling from a third-floor balcony at about 6:25 p.m. at the Days Inn on Front Beach Road, according to police reports cited by WJHG-TV in Panama City.
Luke Massa, St. Xavier’s senior quarterback last fall and a fellow Notre Dame recruit, was with James in Florida.
“Luke is devastated,” Massa’s father, Gary, said late Friday. “He lost one of his best friends.”
Added Massa of James: “This kid was a great kid, I can tell you that.”
Fox19 reporting that the toxicology report showed BAC of twice limit for Florida. I posted this not because it's news, but to say....give the kid and family a break already.
Nobody is shocked or surprised at all, nor do I need to see it on twitter.
