GA WR Jeff Greene informs TR's Miles Fomby that Cincinnati is his leader after a visit to the school.

Maybe the defense won't cover him and he'll be open?

Hell, I know TE's that run faster. Hopefully he can get that up with exercises.

At 6'6", 200lbs, is there any chance he doesn't switch to TE in college? That's a hell of a frame for any skill player despite the slow 40 time.

I wouldn't call 4.67 slow. Maybe on the slowside for a WR but definitely not for a TE. If he can bulk up he'd be great as a TE.

Not to mention he would be one hell of a red zone target. He wouldn't be your deep threat but he would still be a matchup nightmare for corners at 6'6" and I would bet his 40 time would improve with some coaching and technique work.

IF he can bulk up and become a TE, (which some can and can't, depending upon frame)...and not lose any more quickness (good luck with that...given another 30 or more pounds), then he would be an excellent weapon.

Talked with him on the phone today. Friendly kid, he was at a track meet but took a few minutes to give some updates. He runs the 300m hurdles, triple jump, and one other event (I think he said 4x400m but I might have heard wrong). Impressive for a 6'6" athlete.

He has been visited by Troy, Kentucky, UCF and mentioned GT stopped by too. His offers are still Duke and MTSU but he said things have been picking up. Said he'll visit UGA for a camp over the summer and mentioned maybe GT too.

When I asked him about GT he said he liked us, but did comment on how "they don't like to pass much."

Jeff is camping at Ohio State on Saturday. He stopped by Cincinnati on the way up to Columbus and loved the coaches/atmosphere there. He has a Cinci offer and they are his leader now.

It will be interesting going forward to see if OSU doesn't show strong interest after his visit and Georgia continues to pull back if he commits... would put a lot of pressure on the other WR's in the class to make a decision, sort of like the LB position...

You're seeing that occur now, at many positions. The middle tier players have to understand that waiting has its risk.
