Would like to see the Bearcats get in on this kid. He is just starting to blow up. Has a visit across town at Xavier next week. Visiting Syracuse in June.

"It is nearly unfathomable to think that a kid from the city of Chicago who is 6-foot-9 with skill could fly under the radar on the high school hoops scene, but that is apparently what has happened. Hailing from Perspectives Charter is Anthony Davis, and he is absolutely no joke."

"Overall there wasn't much that Davis didn't do, and he flashed serious five-star potential. After flying under the radar for a long time, high-majors are beginning to call in droves."

Anthony Davis is simply put, the fastest rising player in the Class of 2011. At No. 9, we’re certainly being aggressive with his ranking but we believe there’s reason to be excited. The former guard, is now the owner of a 6-foot-9 frame, a jump shot, ambidextrous work in the lane and an upside that could be as significant as any post player in his class. He’s hardly a household name, which works, in his favor.

With Davis, he hasn’t been exposed to the process long enough to be tainted. He’s as likely to dive on the floor for a loose ball as he is to slam back a missed shot. He has the element of surprise working in his favor but it won’t last long. Word is leaking out of Chicago by the hour

You know, that was always my dream. "Former guard now a 6'9" giant." Unfortunately, there was some confusion and I stopped at 5'9".

No doubt. I stopped at 6-3. My brother was 6-8 in HS and our team was really good. Problem was I worked very hard at hoops but my brother wasn't too into it, even though he got a scholarship at a small school. With his height, I would've been at UC (or maybe a Butler). :)
