Analysis: Last August, Olney, Maryland Defensive Tackle, Vincent Croce was named to the Maryland “Dream Team” sponsored by ESPN. For fans that aren’t familiar with Vincent, just a quick glance at his offer list, should provide plenty of information. Vincent is quickly becoming a nationally sought after prospect. He has experience playing defensive tackle and tight end. On the offensive side of the ball Vincent is a superb blocker and has good hands. Vincent can wreak havoc on opposing teams on defense. He plays hard and physical. Vincent is an aggressive player who doesn’t give up when he his being blocked. While fighting through a block he stays focused on the ball carrier to be able to make a tackle. Vincent will need to work on his technique and form to make an impact at the college level. It is easy for Vincent to man-handle high school lineman due to his size and weight but in order to be a game-changer at the college level he will need to rely on proper form and technique to supplement his size and weight. With the proper coaching Vincent is going to be an impact player on the football field. Keep checking back with Michigan Sports Zone for updates on this nationally sought after prospect.

Wants to go to medical school. I have a feeling UM is gonna be tough to beat here. He was there for the spring game. Duke or Stanford wouldn't be a total shocker either...unless it's simply lip service.

- DT Vincent Croce also has Michigan in his top group, along with MSU and Virginia. He'll also check out Stanford for their academics, and Wisconsin because he has a former teammate on the squad.

MSU targets DT...

Vincent Croce of Our Lady of Good Counsel in Olney, Md., also has an offer from MSU. The 6-foot-4, 260 pounder visited the Spartans a few weeks ago and was impressed with the school and program. Croce said the Spartans, Wolverines and Virginia Cavaliers top his list. All three schools have offered Croce a scholarship, as have a dozen other BCS programs.

Croce is not the only Maryland defensive tackle Dantonio and his staff have targeted. The Spartans have offered both Darian Cooper and Kendall Patterson of DeMatha High School in Hyattsville. The 6-foot-3, 275-pound Cooper has offers from MSU, U-M and Penn State while Patterson has offers from MSU, Marshall and Duke. Croce is a preseason Rivals.com top 250 prospect.

Never visited ND, some say he never had an offer...never showed great interest in UC as well.

Committed to Virginia, which is somewhat surprising...considering the interest in him. However, he's a good student, and UVA is one hell of a school.
