UC, Indiana and Louisville have offered.

Michigan State, ND, BC, South Carolina, Syracuse and Purdue are interested.

Junior Ryan Kelly will be headed to Florida over winter break. But it won't be for your average family vacation.
Kelly has been invited to participate in the 2010 Under Armour Underclassman top 100 Football Combine on January 1, 2010. The Combine is hosted at Disney’s Wide World of Sports Complex in Kissimmee, Florida.
Lakota West coach Larry Cox was approached by Under Armour about Kelly in November.
"It’s a great opportunity to show off the skills that I’ve been working on during my career and especially these last two years," Kelly said. "It will be exciting and competitive to evaluate my skills on a national level competing against the best in the country, in front of many college coaches from D1 to D2."
Kelly, a 6'5" 260 pound junior offensive lineman, has been garnering a large amount of interest from major college programs. In 2009, he was named 1st Team All GMC, 1st Team All Butler County, and Honorable Mention for All Southwest Ohio.
"The amount of college coaches that come through is astonishing, the recruiting process picked up mid way through this season,"said Kelly. Notre Dame, Cincinnati, Boston College, South Carolina, Syracuse, and NC State are just a few that have showed interest."

Athletic lineman for his size, excellent frame to add more weight, flexible, consistent snaps in the gun. Some video clips have Kelly playing guard besides center, after seeing him first hand I believe he will be red-shirted his 1st year in college to add bulk and work on technique. Down side of Kelly is he tends to play high which he can beat most opponents in HS but more talented GMC players expose him at the POC

Interesting look at 20 random programs from bleacher report about each program's one, 'must-have' recruit.

They have Ryan Kelly as Louisville's must have recruit for the 2011 class which I found interesting. (You have to scroll through several slides). This is the kind of kid we NEED to keep in Cincinnati......certainly not lose to a program like Louisville.

I know bleacher report is not exactly the most reputable source but I found this to at least be interesting.

I have a buddy that contributes to them, and he does a good job for them.

Totally agree, he's exactly the type of person (and school) that BJ needs to bring on board.
Wanny at Pitt brought in a TON of DL guys when he got there. He figured he could find some gold somewhere, and have depth. Judging from his defense, I can't say it wasn't a bad decision.

I also think it sends a certain message when you can land the top local talent. It especially hurts to lose a local prospect to Louisville. I know they have a lot to offer, but they also aren't a Michigan, OSU, ND, etc. type of program. Continuing to build depth in the trenches on both sides of the ball, IMO, is critical for sustained success.

Was here on Tues nite for the game.

Bama and others starting to show interest. This is one recruit BJ needs to keep at home.
