Doesn't know much about the current coaches at UC. May be one of those recruits who may gain interest in the Bearcats if the season goes well.
I'd say if he does visit for junior day UC will have a fighting chance.
As a sophomore in 2008, he caught 22 passes for 368 yards and five touchdowns for a Strongsville team that went 11-2 and lost to eventual champions St. Iggy in the Ohio State D1 playoffs. Those are pretty impressive receiving stats for a sophomore TE. Ray is also a WVU legacy but does not appear to be all that interested in the Mountaineers at this point.
Junior tight end Ray Hamilton (Strongsville, Ohio) landed his first two formal offers. Hamilton, who is also on the 2011 Watch List, said his coach told him Pitt and West Virginia faxed scholarship offers.
"I'm excited about those," Hamilton said. "But I'm keeping an open mind."
When asked about other schools he is interested in Hamilton said, "Definitely Ohio State and Notre Dame. And Alabama has been coming on strong over the summer. UCLA has shown a lot of interest and Oregon invited me to their games. I'm going to Ann Arbor this weekend for Michigan's game."
One of the important aspects to Ray in deciding on a school is how those offenses utilize the tight end position. Iowa has been one school he has brought up in the past, but not the only one. “I don’t have any favorites right now, but the Wisconsin’s, Iowa’s, Oklahoma’s, Boston College, I mean schools like that who definitely know how to use the tight end interest me but there are a lot of schools that know how to use them well.” One school that hasn’t used the tight end like some others has been his local college, Ohio State, but he noted he wasn’t too concerned about that schools use of the position.
There have been two schools that have recently offered and caught his attention; this is what he had to say on that, “Michigan is very well known, not in the past couple years but the program itself and how dominant they are. I think Coach Rodriguez is doing a good job on getting them back to where they need to be. It was definitely a special offer. And then Oklahoma, they just jump out to you as a big time program. They know how to use the tight end too, they just dominate the Big XII. You just look at the guys they are sending to the NFL, it’s a big time school.”

Tight end Ray Hamilton (Strongsville, Ohio/Strongsville) has added two more scholarship offers this week, bringing his scholarship offer list to near two dozen.
"I'm not sure of the exact number," Hamilton said. "But I'd say it's around 20. Vanderbilt came in (Wednesday). Syracuse came (Tuesday). Arizona came last week. Oklahoma and Notre Dame came a couple weeks ago."
Hamilton's list of offers also includes Wisconsin, Michigan, Iowa, Indiana, West Virginia, Pitt, Colorado, Rutgers, Boston College and Stanford.
Michigan may be putting the press on Hamilton. They seem to be missing on all their TE targets so far.
"The only remaining prospect who already had a Michigan offer and had shown serious interest in the Wolverines is OH TE Ray Hamilton (pictured at right), a junior day visitor that we haven't heard from in a while. With Heuerman and Miller off the board, he might be the #1 choice at the position."
Yep. With Heuerman and (likely) Vannett going OSU, and ND possibly taking one more TE after getting Ben Koyack, UM needs to focus on Hamilton as the talented TEs having interest in UM is getting thinner by the week.
