Recently visited UC and VaTech... Bearcatreport states he is down to his final three... this is a big one gentlemen... would be an enormous get... should announce soon.

Bearcatreport has an article up this morning: Coney Commits... I sure hope this is true. It would be a huge get!

Rivals is showing a solid commitment to Cincinnati. Once again, if true this is our first stud recruit in the 2012 class. Coney has tons of potential.

Coney Commits to Cincinnati

Plant City QB Bennie Coney, arguably the county's top senior recruit at his position, has committed to Cincinnati, Raiders coach Wayne Ward announced in a text message.

Coney (6-foot-3, 210 pounds) had the Bearcats atop his list of preferred colleges for several months. His other favorites: FSU, LSU, Michigan and Notre Dame and Virginia Tech. He reportedly had narrowed his choices to Cincy and Virginia Tech.

The state's 44th-ranked recruit according to Rivals.com, Coney threw for 1,600 yards in a promising sophomore season, but was dismissed by Ward last October for an unspecified violation. He has since returned to the team and remains in good standing

Huge pickup. Physical. Big Arm. Throw first but can run. I dont know if people understand how big of a commitment this is.

Man, that is awesome. Sounds like a great fit for Cincy.

Looks like the program is still on the climb.
