The 2012 graduating class in Kentucky holds several quality young players. One of the most athletic players in this group is Bowling Green linebacker K.J. Cofer.
While undersized at 6-foot, 180-pounds, K.J. Cofer shows a lot of promise with his athleticism and the effort he puts behind his play. “As a linebacker, I think I’m aggressive. I play smart,” said Cofer. “I want to improve my quickness. I want to improve my mind for the game,” he continued.
Bowling Green (Ky.) had a great season last year reaching the state semi-finals. “I think I played excellent. I played pretty good last year,” said Cofer. “I did good things at the varsity level.”
It’s still early in the process for Cofer so the offers haven’t come. But he does have a few opportunities to get to some camps and become more visible.
“I’m just getting stuff about camps for this summer,” said Cofer. “I plan on going to Cincinnati Bearcats camp and the National Underclassmen Combine,” he said.
Cofer’s goals for the summer and going into his junior year are simple. “I want to get stronger. I want to be better in school,” he said. “I want to get A’s and B’s instead of A’s, B’s and C’s.”
