Wish you would've shared this last year when he was getting dogged on here. I knew he was hurt but not that bad. I know depth was a serious issue last year so seeing him go down might have been devestating. Kudos for him for toughing it out.

Good to hear. I was worried about him not being healthy by the start of the year and even in the back of my head was worried if he somehow had to redshirt next year what that would mean for the 2015 recruiting class. I really hope as I said earlier that he comes out and surprises us all and has a really solid year. I know some of the posters on here seem pretty sold on all the youtube highlight videos these newcomers are bringing in but I for one want to count on the experience we do have returning and I would venture to guess no one has logged as many minutes as a Bearcat on the floor than Guyn.

I didn't know the full extent until I talked to him after the surgery and he told me how bad the tear was. Plus I'm not putting any injury info out there during the season unless Mick makes it public. It gets to Twitter and every assistant in the conference is alerting his players that Ge's shoulder was a mess...

do you think injury will have lingering effect during season?

Probably will never be able to dunk again, should probably just cut him.

Sarcasm aside I've been SERIOUSLY VERY HIGH on Guyn this whole off season. I think he's going to have Breakout senior season its all up to if he wants it or not. Just because someone is critical about an certain area in your game doesn't mean they don't believe your good or don't like you. If that's the case I guess AJ Green is going to get cut because Hue Jackson has been on his rear end all off season. I just think if Guyn a get attack mentality to his offensive game it a do wonders for his game. One of best ways on offense to attack is going hard at rim, with his athleticism I would expect him to finish above rim more often than not with his freak of nature athleticism.

I didn't mean that how it sounded, I just meant I wish everyone dogging him knew how bad he was hurt not that you personally should've informed us. Bad wording. But you are right if you're going to play through the pain then it's best your opponents don't know the severity so they don't go after it.

With his shoulder fixed and a sense of senior urgency, I think he will have a very nice year. He's never going to be a true point guard in the sense of being a distributor, but I would love to see him with an improved jumper and willingness to attack the basket. I could see him averaging 7-8 ppg this season. I don't think his playing time will increase much though -- I think Guyn, Caupain, and Johnson will all play around 20 minutes, with Cobb and Morman fighting for the remaining 20 minutes or so.

Tc
Cobb
Shaq
Clark
DeBerry

I don't think Mick will start a true freshman unless Clark really impresses. I would love for that to happen though. I think either Sanders or Ellis will start the year at the 4. Every position except probably the 3 is up for grabs.

Some stuff from Cobbs Instagram. I don't care what you say about the dude if you think he is going to be a beast or not. Bottom line he is working his butt off in the offseason to get better and I love that! I think he has a ton of talent pretty pumped to have him on the team think he his a huge addition.

From what has been said about him, he is an absolute work horse. Seeing him doing basketball drills with the weighted vest on is pretty neat, and never missing. This guy could turn out to be a pretty good catch for us

Maybe his work ethic will rub off on more of the team as well. Not that some of them don't already have it, but always nice to see a newcomer come in and work their butt off to be a better player/team mate. Sounds like Cobb has the right mindset, I hope that translate well to the court, it should.

Very cool. Thanks for posting those. Never hurts to have a JR combo guard who is willing to work for it.
