When it comes to explosive leapers, 2013's Soma Edo may have finally met his equal in class of 2014 power forward Phillip Cofer of Team Georgia Elite and Fayetteville (Ga.) Whitewater. The 6-foot-6 Cofer doesn't yet have a lot of skill, is very susceptible to pump fakes, and has some edges to rough out. But, he plays extremely hard, runs the floor and is a pogo stick leaper around the rim who chases each loose ball. He's only going to be a junior, and if he can add some offense to his energy and athleticism he gets very intriguing.

Weird. Just saw an article on Rivals where he states "I like Georgia Tech, Georgia, Tennessee, Miami, and Alabama the most right now."

It does say UC is recruiting him in the article, though.

Think we'd go after him? I know we aren't looking at front-court presence, but he seems like a good enough talent that'd be tough to pass up if he were interested in UC.

Judging by his original list of schools, looks like he wants to stay in the south. But who knows. I also don't think he's going to want to come here with the logjam we are going to have at the 4 and 5 positions, although pretty much everyone we have on the roster is relatively unproven at this point.
