Cincinnati @GoBEARCATS will be in to see 2014 CG Kendall Crute @KCrute22 North Cobb Christian (GA)

We have been recruiting him for a while. Doesn't have any major offers yet. Good friends with fellow recruit Devin Mitchell.

What's a "CG"? Complete Guard? LOL. Or was it meant to be a P and not a C?

Troy Caupain. ESPN and Rivals may list him as a SG but he's a pure PG. Gets to the rim, dishes the ball, and makes FTs.
just got done watching a A+ performance by Carter-Williams of Cuse. He is long and 6/6. Wish Mick could find someone like him to run the point. If Caupain can come close to Carter-Williams I'll be thrilled.

The crazy thing about MCW is he couldn't get off the bench behind Waiters, Scoop Jardine, and Triche last year. A lot of people forget he's a sophomore. I just hope people aren't going to have too high of expectations for some of our young guys. It'll take some time.

But Caupain is a solid 6"3' and is a great rebounder. All the tools to be a great player... how long it takes - who knows.

he looks like he will be going to the league after that performance today.

I'm really excited about Caupain. Hope he can run the point.

He has good body control and can get to the rim. Can hit an open shot, has good length and can guard the 1,2 or 3. He's had interest from Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Mississippi. He's athletic, can rebound his position, good in transition. His shot has improved but his bread and butter in slashing and finishing or hitting a floater.

Kendall Crute likes to get to the basket. He is smooth, but powerful big guard who gets into the paint. Once there, he uses a pull up/floater or gets all the way to the rim and takes a hit. This shows when he suggest he likes to model his game after Derrick Rose.
Crute looks up to his older brother and sister. One just graduated college and the other is still there. He sees the work they put in and realizes what he needs to do to better himself, ‘They are going out doing what they have to do to better themselves and/or situation at home. They don’t wait for things to be handed to them, they go out and get what they want. Seeing that makes me want to get where I go so much more, they deserve nothing less than my best.’
Crute claims offers from Southern Mississippi, Jacksonvile, Louisiana Tech, Murray St, UAB, College of Charleston, and Georgia St. With this many school interested Crute is has some criteria to narrow down his decision, ‘I want a school that has a good business curriculum because that is what I want to major in. Also a high graduation rate because I cannot play this game forever.’ He also has some criteria for the basketball program, ‘I really want a big basketball atmosphere. (I am looking for) A school that, when basketball season comes around, you can feel the excitement around campus.’
That is a lot of criteria accompanied by a lot of interest. He will lean on his brother and sister to help him decide where he wants to go. He suggests that neither have ever led him wrong.
Crute seems to have a plan, both on the court and in life. Refreshing.
