I guess this is what Cronin was talking about when he was going out west?

Where did you see #46?

Releases his shot too low. You'd think to be a big time recruit, someone would tell him to fix this. With that being said, a player with a bad shot has the potential to be a steal. SK had a bad looking shot and look how he turned out.

hes not a big time recruit

Sounds like he's not a real big recruit, but having a big senior year.

He looks like he looks to create and is not scared to take it to the rim. Pretty athletic overall

Now that leaves me wondering. Does he play for a big AAU team? Have many of these scouts that do the rankings have seen him play? or was he given a default 3 star like Caupain?

Good question. To me, he looks better than his ranking would assume. Can't always get caught up in that ranking for the exact reasons you mentioned. I feel like it would be a tough get anyways coming from the west coast to Cincinnati.

Can't always get caught up in the highlights either. If he was that good, I'm sure he'd be a highly rated prospect.

Side note- who knew we'd run into San Francisco so much on the recruiting trail???

There are so many teams and players across the nation its impossible to get a good grade for anyone. Like i mentioned above. Troy was never evaluated and was given a 3 star by default. It does happen.

Go back 2 years ago to Devonte Graham. Was around a #200 recruit when committed to I think Appalachian state(first school that popped in my head) After he de-committed(which I believe was after the HS season) he started getting a little more attention. He didnt commit until late spring early summer and then was bumped to a 4 star recruit and #100.

Haha the Graham bump was the most shameless thing the recruiting services have ever done.

Have you seen him play? Hes deserved every bit of it

Oh yeah. I live in KC. I watch every KU game. Graham is awesome. It's just funny that they quietly moved him from way off the radar to Top 50 bc some big time coaches started calling.

I don't get how you rate people outside the top 25-50 recruits. Seems also impossible. Who knows what kind of competition or a lot of factors can weigh in. You are correct though, highlights are highlights. You can tell he's quick though and looks to drive - which I personally like.

I think we can all agree, he still would be better than Quadri -lol.

I cheer for Moore though hope he can make some good plays when he's in

If he was viewed as a possible redshirt and a #12 scholarship type of guy, I wouldn't mind getting him.

The 2016 class is loaded. Guys like Cumberland, who are rated around 40-60, would probably be 5-stars in other class. So in this kids defense, maybe he's pretty good. You would think a performance against a top recruit like Malik Monk would get him more known.
