I don't see any publication listing a Michigan offer for Gaines. That tells me, if/when they offer...he gone...

Landing him would be the best case scenario but Michigan stands in the way. We get him then a possible big or two, one that we can redshirt we can be very happy with this class.

That kind of class would be very underwhelming imo...even for our lowered standards for UC basketball these days. The last 4 classes have at least had a guy we can see leading the team at some point in their career. I haven't really seen that in any of the 2017 names we've been attached to. Just guys who could at best maybe be "nice" little players someday.

Michigan got another commit last night. It was a forward and not a guard but I wonder how many scholarships they have available? They also got a transfer that will be available for 2017.

He's another guy that can guard multiple positions. A more athletic version of Jaquan Parker or Rashad Bishop. Will do whatever is needed to win, which is something I think we've missed the last 2 years. I think Kyle Washington will be that glue guy for us this year.

I was thinking the same thing in my mind about the comparison to those guys. He might not end up being the best shooter (not sure), but his D and athleticism will get him points and get him to the foul line. Just seems to be very aggressive. The rotation between him Cumberland Moore and Evans would be awesome with Broome/Jennifer at point. Even if we go 4 guards...watch out

At the wing positions we'd have Evans (jr), Cumberland (so), Trevor Moore (fr), Anthony Gaines (fr). I hope Gaines isn't just looking for easy playing time
