I don't understand the need to break down our recruits before we have seen them play a game. I also don't understand why everyone wants to red shirt all these players. Sometimes, there is a reason to do it (SK for example). Most times, red shirting a player just takes up a scholarship for another year and unless there is a benefit to the program and player, it isn't going to happen. I am not a fan of red shirting players by rule unless there is an injury. Mamoudou didn't come here to red shirt and I'm sure he will have an opportunity to play a role on the team in 2017. The more competition for playing time, the better in my opinion.
I look forward to seeing what Mamoudou can do and what skills he brings to the table. This is a nice class of talented, athletic and long players with specific skill sets. Should be a fun fall as the season gets kicked off.
