Would put us near the conversation.

I hate to be negative but I dont have much reason to believe it will happen given our history.

So your saying there's a chance?

But seriously I think it will be tough. It all depends on what bearcat team shows up. I think they have the talent to do it, but IMO it isn't looking good.

I supose that is funny, but then again UC lost to that team, so it makes it look even worse. It sucks watching them make the tournament year after year.

We had a 'good thing' going in a weak conference (i.e. Boise St in football), and UC wanted to advance into the big time. Our football team has made the transition very well, while our hoops team is lagging. The right basketball coach, which still could be Mick, needs to win in league for UC to get to the level the Bearcats enjoyed under Huggins. That said, even he had trouble beating teams better than his. Bottom line: UC needs better recruits and better coaching, and soon.

I don't care about Xavier or what they do. It means nothing to me. It is like Ohio University doing something... I do not care. I keep more up to date with them because a lot of friends follow them. I will worry about X when they start outrecruiting UC in cincy or start getting the first page news or radio shows. Until then they don't bother me.

while you may not care what other teams do, it is important to your resume. If we lose to a good xavier team, like many years past, it looks better than a loss to IUPUI or Ohio University. While Xavier did get trounced at UD, UC can't win in the big east, and on top of that we are on the verge of not even being in bubble contention.

What you fail to realize is that UC plays in the Big East. SOS will never be a factor.

Xavier could lose to UD, then to a struggling Florida team and then again to St. Joes or someone... It won't matter.

For team in lower conferences it does matter more because those OOC games are so important. In the big east it doesnt matter.

If UC loses it's next 4 games it still isnt dead in the water. Not saying I want that to happen but we end with Georgetown, WVU and Villanova, so therotically we could win just those 3 and be in the converstation.

Teams like X are dependent on their OOC games being good in most years. This year A-10 is as strong as PAC-10 and SEC.

A10>Pac10

A10 = or > than SEC

This year there isnt much doubt.

Although I think Vanderbilt and Kentucky are better than anyone in the A-10... but top to bottom I would give a slight edge to A-10.

Pac 10 for sure. But once UCLA and Zona recover....

Zona will be very good in a year or two.

I think Miller is one of the better coaches in the country. I think he is a slime ball like his predecessor at X, but guy can coach.

No doubt about it, Miller is a great coach. He will have Zona to the elite 8 within the next 3 years (not including this one).
