The Bearcats and the Houston Cougars (26-5, 15-3 AAC, NET #4, KenPom #5) are matched up for their 4th consecutive AAC tournament. The Cougars demolished UC in the 2021 AAC Tournament Championship while the Bearcats beat Houston by 12 in the 2019 finals and by 1 point in the 2018 finals (The 2020 tournament was cancelled due to the pandemic).

Since these two teams last faced off 10 days ago, the Cougars beat Temple by 38 points at home on Senior Day and lost at Memphis by 14 points in their final regular season game of the year.

The winner of today's game will face the winner of Temple vs Tulane in the semi-finals.

The Bearcats are 12-point underdogs.

The effort stepped up a notch over the last 4 games of the season but we simply didn't have the horses to beat good teams.

Happy to be done with this season and this team. Hopefully better things are ahead.
