These players, these coaches need alot of work in the offseason. Im tired of being a bad team.

I couldn't agree with you more. I remember being upset after losing in the 2nd round of the NCAA Tourny. Now I've become upset after losing in the 2nd round of the NIT Tourny. Although the team has improved over the past few years, there needs to be a big improvement next year or else changes will most likely be made.

This loss, especially against a local team, hopefully serves as motivation for the returning players. LS and Cash needs to be in the gym throughout the summer working on their jumpshot. I don't know how serious Parkers injury is, but this would be big if he needs surgery and is out for next year. This will be LS's team next year, and his work ethic over the summer should pull the other players up with him.

Gates is a disaster. He wasn't a factor at all last night. He needs to work harder than anyone else. Thomas needs some more bulk, but I doubt that will happen. Davis should only shoot 3's and FT's during the summer. Cash needs to watch a lot of film.

I bet Thomas gets alot stronger. The amount of strength Cash gained last year was incredible. Mr Clean aka Dave Andrews is the man.

I think that people should be more excited about Thomas next year then Gates. At least Thomas has shown that he will bang down low, he has good post moves. Gates plays when he wants to, which doesn't seem like it's all that much.

I thought the same thing about Toyloy this past offseason. I told everyone before the season he would steal Gates' minutes. That didn't happen because he is absolutely abysmal on offense, but he at least bangs down low and boxes his guy out. When Gates picked up his second foul last night I wasn't even that upset because he was getting schooled on some rebounds. Toyloy came in an ended that, but in doing so completely took out any chance for an inside game.

About Thomas, I completely agree. I love everything about his game except his butterfingers and inability to finish. If we can get the football pads out on him and bang him around like we've done for big guys in the past and get some more muscle on him he could be the force inside we need. At least more strength, I don't know that his lean body type is going to really add muscle mass. Also he could be a little more fundamentally sound down low which would keep him from getting stripped so much. Maybe practicing against Gates for a year and a half has caused him to assume no one plays defense within five feet of the basket.

I hope UC players were watching last night (Xavier/KSU, and also Butler/Cuse) to understand what it means to play hard, with mental toughness and leave everything on the court...

That's good news. He's capable of dropping 8 to 10 a game, which isn't peanuts.
