If you want to get your school in hot water with the NCAA, start tweeting stuff like this Maryland fan. I know there was some question as to what fans can and cannot do in regards to potential recruits on twitter and other social media. I am going to "go out on a limb" and say you do not want to be doing what this guy is doing. It may be nothing but it isn't worth putting your school in the NCAA line of fire.

I got on a WVU fan who said a similar comment to Elijah a day before that one... lol honestly of the few recruits I do follow that I know UC is recruiting I don't see our fans doing that.

I'm not sure that's against the rules. To be safe I wouldn't tweet a recruit at all. I may follow them, but just won't tweet them.

I think it's really sad seeing people who are in their 40's tweeting players that just committed.

I believe we went over this a couple weeks ago and if you've donated in any form to the University than contacting a recruit before they've signed a LOI is against the rules... the big example of this is from NCST a few years back- who was it they were trying to get to go there and started a facebook group about it that eventually drew some heat? John Wall is coming to mind but I'm pretty sure it wasn't him...

This will be impossible to enforce, especially on twitter.

True but that doesn't mean that the NCAA won't start looking at something posted and maybe find something. It is stupid to give the NCAA any reason to wake up and look into your school. Everyone in Columbus knows what has been going on at OSU for well over 10 years but the NCAA never had a reason to look. Well, they found a reason this year and who knows what else may come out.
