Six Bearcats received awards, including seniors Dion Dixon and Yancy Gates, in addition to Cashmere Wright, JaQuon Parker, Sean Kilpatrick and Justin Jackson.

The University of Cincinnati Board of Trustees also honored head coach Mick Cronin.

Dixon and Gates shared the award for Most Valuable Player.
Gates, who averaged a career-high 8.9 rebounds this season, also snagged the Top Rebounder award. He finished his UC career with 916 boards and became the first player in school history to lead the Cats in rebounds each of his four seasons.

Dixon, who finished with 1,281 total points, was recognized as a member of the 1,000-point club.

Wright received the Character and Leadership award, in addition to an accolade for leading the team in assists, averaging 4.6 per game this season.

Kilpatrick, who shot 37.6 percent from behind-the-arc and 75 percent from the foul line, received both the Three-Point Shooting and Free Throw Shooting awards.

Parker earned the Most Improved Player award, while Jackson — who recorded 61 blocks this season — received the Defensive Player of the Year award.
