The biggest crowd for any home game this year for the cats was the Wright State game, at 5,800. I predict the Depaul game will be anywhere between 7,000 and 7,500. Then, Seton Hall will be pushing 8,000. And, of course then the Xavier will be full capacity.

Anybody else got any predictions?

Attendance has been down typically around 2,000 every game this year based on last years attendance. We are 12-0 and have worse attendance? I don't care who we play, that type of support is terrible.

I know the schedule was horrible this season, and we all would love someone to blame. As stated many times, the players did not create this mess yet are being punished for the administrations mistakes. While there are many who feel this is the culprit for poor attendance, I am hearing other things. A movement is underway, and has been since the end of Mick's 2nd season, to get rid of both him and Thomas. The feeling is a boycot will force UC's hand and bring about change. I disagree and think this will only strengthen their resolve to stick with the 2. Anyway, that is my thought on the poor attendance. I will be there to watch Depaul btw.

Now my estimate on attendance. My sister works for a ticket "broker" and she is seeing little interest in Depaul but a marked improvement for Seton Hall. Guess: 5600 Depaul, 7000 Seton Hall.

Juliepitzer,

If that's so it sounds to me like a bunch of Huggins humpers who are shortsighted and aren't looking out for the best interest of the program, the university or the student athletes. I wouldn't be too concerned even if there is a "movement" underway. Winning WILL cure all- once this team proves it can succeed in the Big East, which I think many of us think they will. I will be there Tuesday as well with three others and I expect 6,500.

I think Depaul will draw a bigger crowd than Seton Hall, but both will only garner around the 5-7,000 mark. UC's attendance is abysmal and an indictment on the UC administration/marketing and the city of Cincinnati itself.

It's time for everyone to get it figured out!

I hope this is just a vocal minority. Mike Thomas has made tremendous hires since he has been here. His ability to see talent in coaches is the reason UC played in back to back BCS bowls. He was able to hire Mick Cronin when NO ONE wanted the job. I also think Butch Jones will turn out to be a very good hire as well.

All these people that want MC and MT gone can go root for another team as far as I'm concerned. The University would be better off without them.

Who is part of this movement? No one who TRULY supports the university, I bet. Mike Thomas brought in Brian Kelly and led the UC football program to heights unimaginable. Mick Cronin is a UC grad who has righted the program and is at the cusp of returning UC to national prominence. Are these people still angry at Mike Thomas for turning the mic off at Andy Kennedys last game. Do they still support the moral bastion that is Kennedy, despite the fact that he was undermining the program, or that he assulted a cabbie and called him racial epitheths? Are they still angry that Cronin left for Louisville, when it was inarguably a better career move? Or do they dislike him for other reasons, like his height, not wearing the correct color of tie, etc? To think that attendence is down due to this ridiculously small group of idiots is laughable. The myriad of reasons for the cause of low attendance has been discussed on this site as well as others, and there is no reason to rehash this. The only movement that these LOSERS need to belong to is the bowel variety, and they can flush themselves down with the rest of the toilet contents.

I am going to say 6,500 for Depaul and 7,500 for Seton Hall. Xavier will be a sell out and a win would be HUGE! If they can go to 'Nova and win or make it a game to the end, I think many will jump on the wagon.

Awesome post.

Things don't just change over night.

The students don't show up like they used to and neither do the regulars. And unfortunately even with a winning season I don't see a big change. Its going to take a couple years in a row of NCAA bids to get the shoe back to the way it once was.

People show up for the big games in BE, but not day in day out

FYI. Just had a friend pick up a pair of Depaul tickets for Section 205 about 4 rows back for $6 a piece at Ticketcity.com if anyone is interested.
