This a great foundation.

2 coaches, 3 titles, 4 years.

This will be a great foundation is Butch stays at UC for another 3 or 4 years and continues to build something here. UC cannot change coaches every 2 to 3 years and expect the success to continue.

I think Pat Coyne will be starting QB next year. The defense won yesterday's game with 2 TD's. Munchie was 15-35 passing yesterday. I do not think you can win with Munchie.

Any one other than Munchie. I'd take Luallen, Coney, Coyne, Weatherford... hell give anyone else a chance. You cannot win a BCS bid with Munchie.

Luallen?...really?...what has he shown that he can do besides run up the middle?...Butch isnt comfortable calling a pass pay for him...Munchie throws a much better ball than Collaros and has a lot of potential...i am excited about the possibilities for the bowl game and next season...
Go Bearcats!

Exactly. And it will be an open competition in Spring Ball. If one of the other guys is better than Munchie, they will play. Personally, my only criticism of Munchie is that he throws the ball a bit sidearmed and gets too many balls batted down at the line of scrimmage.

Munchie can't play, what if Luallen had the second team reps? He could have been in better position to play.

If Luallen was better he would have had the second team snaps. He had an opportunity in training camp to win that second team QB job. He didn't do it. Your "point" is pointless.

Munchie looked pretty damn good in the first half yesterday. For a sophmore being thrown in there I am very pleased. Another year and I think he will be fine. I am surprised by this reaction.

I'm fairly confident that Butch has Munchie in there because he is our best option at QB. I don't know of a coach who would start a guy who isn't the best option. Saying otherwise makes no sense. With that said there are a lot of holes in Munchies game at this point and I'm not so sure that by next fall someone else might not step up. His mechanics (sidearm delivery) aren't that good and he throws darts, which leads to very low percentage down field throwing. He needs to put some air under his passes and let his receivers be able to go get the ball. As for positives he does have a strong arm, has good size and athleticism and is hands down much smarter at getting rid of the ball than Collaros ever was.

Luallen hasn't even attempted a pass in the past two games. He got a couple good runs against Syracuse because honestly they had no way to gameplan him. Both drives where it got to third down and goal in the Syracuse game he took Luallen out and put Munchie in because they had to pass the ball. That shows you (and the defense) that he will not be throwing the ball. In the UConn game he tucked and ran on two third and longs. I really don't understand the logic of him using Luallen in this capacity. Teams have clearly shown they can stop the run against us without the threat of the pass. Putting in a QB that you know won't throw the ball lets the defense eat you alive. Both drives we used Luallen in against UConn were completely ineffective.

And to the thread topic -- GO BEARCATS!!!!
