Big East Tourney Update

With only one week left in the season I'd thought it be fun to look towards the BE Tournament. With that in mind, here are the matchups as of this very minute. A couple of points as, obviously, this can and will change....

1) UC would currently be the #5 seed. A win tomorrow would make them the #4 and a loss would put them at #6.

2) Syracuse is the only team locked into their current seed as they have clinched the regular season title and will be the #1 seed in the BE Tourney.

Tuesday 3/6/12
#16 DePaul vs. #9 UConn
#13 Pittsburgh vs. #12 Rutgers
#15 Providence vs. #10 West Virginia
#14 Villanova vs. #11 St. John's

Wednesday 3/7/12
DEP/UCONN vs. #8 Seton Hall
PITT/RUT vs. #5 Cincinnati
PROV/WVU vs. #7 Louisville
NOVA/STJ vs. #6 South Florida

Thursday 3/8/12
DEP/UCONN/SH vs. #1 Syracuse
PITT/RUT/UC vs. #4 Georgetown
PROV/WVU/UL vs. #2 Marquette
NOVA/STJ/USF vs. #3 Notre Dame

I'm not sure how the tie breakers work but if we have the same record as georgetown you would have to think we win the tie-breaker with them, since we beat them in the head to head matchup. and they finish the year against notre dame and then at marquette.....
