Bowl Games are a bust?

A bit off topic but anyone notice NIU head coach bolt and pull a BK. NIU got into the Orange bowl somehow and he just left to take the NC State job. I guess its just the business college football has turned into. I read this article on yahoo which was kind of entertaining.

Just talked about how outside the national championship game the bowl games are pointless. I agree with the article, even the BCS games are terrible. Florida vs UL will be a rematch on UC's Sugar bowl, it will be over mid way through the second quarter. The Orange Bowl is a joke, FSU vs NIU?! Then you have team's like UC playing Duke. Besides going to nice city in Charlotte, that game is beyond uninteresting. This list goes on and on.

I think it should be an NCAA rule that a team can't poach another team's coach until the season is over. College kids who played for a coach the whole season shouldn't lose him before their bowl game. It ain't right...and it looks like it could happen to us yet again (not that I'm worried about losing Butch just before the Dukebags).

Do I think we would have beaten Florida if we had Brian Kelly coach us a few years ago? No. But it wouldn't have been nearly the embarassment that it was.

Agree with everything you said, nice points! This year bowl game matchups are terrible. More and more I begin lose interest in college football mainly due to the money induced decisions. It is quickly ruining college athletics in all phases.
