UC in as a 9 seed in the West. They'd open against 8th seed Michigan State and play Kansas in the second round.

Agreed. Not even kidding, at the rate they're going they'll be lucky to be looking at a 4 seed in the NIT.

-13-9, and 5-5 in a mediocre Big 10.
-Lost 4 of 5. Only win was by 1 in OT over Indiana.
-Lost 5 of 8. All 3 wins came via OT
-Have not won a game in regulation SINCE JAN 3RD!!! (Vs Penn St)
-Feature losses to Penn St, Michigan, and Iowa in league play
-The Michigan loss was at home (UM sucks) Iowa blasted them by 20 (Iowa is not good)
-Have yet to play Ohio St.
-Still have the meat of their schedule left. (5 of last 8 games are ranked opponents)


I really doubt that team gets past 18 wins, and that would even be surprising. My guess: 16 wins in the regular season.

I cannot believe they're still getting mentioned. Preseason hype goes a LONG way. You give this identical resume to say, Penn St., they'd get ZERO consideration.

Hey I agree but it is what it is. Izzo and his reputation carry some weight. I heard one of the College Game Day guys say this past weekend, "Don't overlook Tom Izzo and Michigan State." Crazy.

i see what you are saying, but you can say that about most teams that fall into the bottom part of the rankings. seton hall beat cuse by 22. i dont think anyone is calling espn idiots because cuse is ranked that high.

The ESPN Power Rankings are a joke. They had MSU in them for 2 months. F~ck Xavier! I cannot cheer for them or be happy for them regardless. I cheer against them regardless of who they play. Always have always will. They make me sick to my stomach. Did I forget to say F~ck Xavier?!

really, having xavier play well since the UC game + mostly crusing through the A-10 is the best thing that couldve happened for UC. Otherwise the cats wouldnt really have a single big non conference win against a top 25 rpi team.

its weird, but X is helping us a lot by them performing so well.
