St. John's is beating Duke 60-39, Duke does not seem to be able to handle St. John's quickness. Big East clearly heads above the other conferences.

Its just odd that Fordham and St. Bonn (two of the worst A-10 teams) can handle st. Johns quickness and duke cant. Im not so sure UC fans should cheer for St. Johns in this one- only helps there resume

Beating St Johns @ their place gives a good win. If we beat them 2 times we will have a great advantage over them. This is great news for UC.

Touche, I just thought this is a bubble team we may be fighting a spot for- and frankly I thought St. Johns waas already out of it. This win puts them right back in the mix-- If it were me I would want St. Johns to lose every game so you didnt have to worry about them

SJU beating Duke is a win-win. It makes a very strong case for up to 11 tournament bids based on the quality and depth of the conference. Also, if we sweep them that's two very good RPI wins. It'll be very hard to take SJU over us if we finish with the same conference record.

St. John now up by 24 with 8 minutes left, Duke 1-18 from 3, sometimes you just have a bad shooting night as UC did last night.

Very true- gives us another chance at a good RPI win but that def puts a lot more pressure on that game then I once thought.

UC has 6 games left against current top 25 rpi teams. That is as current as 5:05 pm today according to live-rpi.com. there are chances to build a strong resume. Xavier is now 17th in the rpi. That has become a quality win. St. Johns is 25th. That's two top 25 rpi wins. We need to beat some combination of SJU, 'Ville, G'town, Pitt, and UConn and take no bad losses. If they can beat St. Johns, UConn, G'Town, and Ville at home they are going to be in for sure. The Providence game on the road scares me.
