That brings us to new Cincinnati coach Butch Jones, who signed Montague quarterback Cody Kater and Southfield-Lathrup wide receiver Montrel Robinson, who had committed to Central Michigan, where Jones was the head coach.
This is such a personal disappointment, because Jones seemed like such a good and ethical coach when he was at Central.
The ink could not have been dry on Jones' contract with Cincinnati when he was on the phone to Kater.

Sorry, but not buying it.
Massa went to ND, and the story was that he was the guy who initiated the contact. Even if he didn't, if a recruit is not interested, all he has to do is tell his parents or coach to not take the phone calls.
The motto is basically 'If the kid is looking, then the school is looking' as well.
This applies if a current commit is looking at other schools, or if a recruit who committed to ND now wants to see what UC has to offer.

Sour grapes makes wine, but doesn't have a place in college football.

This is a joke right? ITS DIVISION 1 FOOTBALL!!!

Nobody cared when a bunch of guys left UC when BK left.

These kids are happy where they are now, that is what matters. Where the kids go should be about making the kids happy and not the fans.

This is just the way it is in D-1. Rarely do plyers commit to a school because of the school itself. It's usually the coaches. I know for a fact Montrel Robinson really has a close relationship with Butch Jones. And I bet Cody Kater really wanted to play in Jones' offense. It sucks but it's going to be this way for now on.
