Don't really listen to the guy that much but thought I would listen since the news on the big 12 came out yesterday. Started talking about recruiting and how it would help Mick out being in the big 12. The very first call, a guy who said he was related to a McDonald All-American said he had very serious interest in UC but Mick never made a call. Went on to say how is recruiting going to get better when Mick only takes a certain type of player and doesn't even reach out to area McDonald All-American. Lance pretty much hung up on the guy after this.

It doesn't take a genius to figure out who the caller was talking about. Caller was obvious white and in a area that picks up 700 wlw.

Just curious if anyone else heard this? And how do feel knowing that there was a chance this kid could have been at UC if Mick simply went after him?

Isn't recruiting about getting the best you can get? I don't want to hear about how a kid fits into Mick's system either, because it's been ten years and I still don't see a system in place.

a radio caller had an obvious skin tone to you?

Doubt it. Don't believe everything you hear on the radio.

Mick doesn't like recruiting the top, top recruits. He needs a perpetual chip on his shoulder by only recruiting under the radar gritty tough guys. If we do some how get into the Big 12 (still doubt it), Mick and Tuberville should be fired the next day.

Mick was the first to offer Luke Kennard. They worked very hard early to get involved and it was made clear once he blew up that they weren't interested and would end up at UK or Duke. At that point UC quit recruiting him. What else do you expect the staff to do when it is made clear the kid isn't interested???

Damn facts always get in the way of a good story. Lol

It would be one thing if there was infinite time for recruiting. There is not. Therefore you have to hedge your bets. Some won't understand that though because it doesn't fit their narrative.

So a person who is related to said person says UC didn't offer is wrong? You ppl put so much stock into what someone says it's funny.

Chad also said Moore didn't commit, although he did. Guess that was fact also.

...you are putting a lot of stock into what some jamoke said on the radio, although i guess, apparently, you are familiar with the guy.

I will say this for you slow since it didn't stick last time. The reason I couldn't confirm the Quadri Moore commitment that morning is because HE HAD YET TO CALL THE STAFF AND OFFICIALLY COMMIT. As soon as he did I confirmed it. It is called being a responsible journalist and confirming reports instead of piggybacking off others for info. Class dismissed...

You don't have to explain yourself on this. You could only end up hurting yourself in the long run trying to be first on stuff like that.

You also only get one side of the story to be fair...

Also incorrect. The reason I have spent 8 years putting tens of thousands of miles on my car attending events is to be able to get both sides of the story. Info is confirmed on both sides before I report a commitment, and the reason I have the best UC recruiting info is in large part because no one else has a network of contacts even close to what I have built. That includes at UC, inside many of the top AAU programs and with national and regional scouts across the country. Now you know, and knowing is half the battle...

And I know that for a fact 15yrs ago, worked with his uncle. Todd and his dad would rather him play for X then UC. Big UK fans hated UC and that was during the Huggins years, Even though we played in golf charity events with him still hated UC and liked Bob. They both played basketball at Franklin and at Depaul of Indiana. Both could shoot, He would never go to UC. That is a fact.

Huh? You spend time with recruits families? Because that's the other side...

Chad is right on this I promise you on this one. Todd had a blown up picture of him guarding Isaiah Thomas when Depaul played Indiana in a mop up game, still remember that. knew the family well. Move on
