This kid is a good player. He has good hands, a good stroke, is big and aggressive. I like the idea of him playing with Yancy and Justin.

he looks a lot better than I thought he would be. I kinda expected him to be exactly ibrahima thomas, but he seems to like being down low which is a nice refresher. Hes pretty coordinated for a guy his size and didnt appear to shy away from contact either. Still too early to know for sure, but its hard to not be optimistic about his future with the team.

I liked Mbodj alot from what I saw in the summer league. Once he gets back to 100 percent and gets acclimated to D1, I think Bearcat fans will be pleasantly surprised.

Cheik had one play the other night that stuck out to me...off of the turnover, he ran the floor, and he was passed that ball on the way to the basket...the only defender in his way was the respected shot blocker...Cheik, unlike many recent big guys, did not try to lay the ball up or avoid the block...he attacked the rim and tried to slam it home...yeah, he missed the shot, but he did draw the foul...i liked the idea that he was taking it to the rim with authority...if he can bring that tenacity, despite other deficiencies, he will help this team and specifically Gates...
Go Bearcats!

I will give him more time. It's only been 5 games. But I haven't seen much out of him that impresses me yet.
