Espn ranks UC recruiting class of 2011 #18. That is nice to see!
Anyone else have a problem with this? Not the class rankings, but the fact that I open bearcattalk basketball page and see a positive thread about good things Mick has going for it, and I see a thread about the state of the program and I see pages of discussion. Now, I havent checked the recruiting forum so there could be more talk there, but I feel like this should be huge.
Well, Sanders has committed which is freaking sweet. So we are looking at Ellis, Sanders, Shaq Thomas, Gelawn Guyn, and Kristian Smith as commits right now. Carter is still a target and there are rumors about a European big as a possibility as well. Any way you look at it, Mick is in a position to be picky for the first time as the Bearcat head coach. Progress is being made in recruiting and I expect to continue to see it on the court this year as well.
Is Khristian Smith still a Bearcat?
The UC staff called Smiths coach about 2 weeks ago and told them to tell people he was open to be recruited.
I wasn't sure this was official so I was leaving him in until I saw confirmation. We all knew the writing was on the wall though. I would like to see Carter sign and then have Mick hold the last scholarship for the late period and possibly the next year.
I think if you can sign Nemanja Bezbradica you sign him. He needs polished but he has a big upside. Already experienced from international play, he is strong and athletic. Fouls too much but you can correct that. You don't have to push this kid to play hard.
OK I will ask it. Any chance we get him and any chance he is eligible?
