Checked my listings on insight, and it says UC and Cuse are on. It's also in HD, rare chance to watch the Bearcats in HD. Hopefully we can play a better first half than we have the previous two games.

Louisville WHAS 11 ABC
12 Noon

They better come focused. Gates better come to play against Jackson. Man to man and team D will be huge in this game. What would it mean to this team to get a road win against Syracuse?

I really think they have a very good shot at winning this game.. Although Syracuse is very good they dont really completely destroy the better teams. Seton Hall and St Johns both stuck in with them until the end.. Cincinnati in all but 1 game has not shot the 3 very well, i believe they can get the ball into Yancey and Thomas and they can get some open 12 to 15 footers. SK will be relied on heavily and Cash will have to start shooting it more from the top of the key.. They make a good cut of 3's and they hit a good clip of there free throws they will be in the game to the end.. With the feeling of having there undefeated season getting took from them added with the people are talking that they have and can not beat anyone will be a recipe for disaster for syracuse...
UC WINS
68 to 59

st johns hung with syracuse for about 18 minutes. they got manhandled the final 22, at MSG in front of a sold out crowd, i might add.

You are correct they did beat St johns pretty handily, BUT
Seton Hall- by5
providence- by 7
Iona-by 6
NC state-by 6
Georgia Tech- by 4
Michigan- by 3
William and Mary- by3

So they are not destroying these teams either... Thanks

The game is on WKRC2 locally. UC will beat either ND or Cuse. Feel they have some mafch up advantages against Notre Dame but believe if they can limit their turnovers they will have a shot tomorrow. I look for the Orange to apply some pressure by extending defensively. 12-15 foot jumpers will be big and Wilks, Thomas, or Jackson could be huge here. Gates has to rebound and play smart. Offensive rebounds and turnovers will cause them to be blown out. Going out on a limb and saying the Bearcats win 75-71 and finally earn their respect and realize how good they can be. They can play very well and still lose this game. Syracuse is big, long, and athletic.

We can beat this team, we just need to not get so worked up, and not be star struck.

Cats showed a lot of heart coming back. Can't expect to keep shooting lights out from 3. Have to hit some mid range shots and penetrate.

With Syracuse leading Cincinnati 57-46 with about five minutes left in the game, Scoop Jardine drove the baseline and lost the basketball. Rick Jackson lunged for it and lay on the Carrier Dome floor when a couple Bearcats attempted to wrest the ball away.
Officials separated the players in the pileup. And then referee Ed Corbett walked over to Cincinnati’s Justin Jackson, who was one of the Bearcats who dove on the ball, and told him to “shut up.”Fourteen seconds later, Corbett had apparently heard enough. He whistled Justin Jackson – a freshman from Cocoa Beach, Fla. -- for a technical foul, sending Dion Waiters to the line to shoot two free throws.

Here’s what Rick Jackson observed from the pile on the floor near the Syracuse bench that started the incident:

“He was talking the whole time and he got Teed up and that was the end of that,” Rick Jackson said. “It started there, really. He dived on me. He said what he said. So, whatever.”

Cincinnati coach Mick Cronin said Justin Jackson was tagged with a technical for excessive talking.

“Which is confusing to me,” Cronin said, “because if two guys are talking, why does one get a ‘T’? And why doesn’t somebody tell me so I could take him out of the game?”

Classy hearing that a ref told an 18 year old to "shut up". I have no idea about this particular ref's background, but that comes off as fairly bush league to me. You can warn a kid without telling him to, "Shut up."

Seriously? I'm sure that is said all the time in college sports, I wouldn't be surprised if it was said all the time in high school sports. Please, don't tell a "little" 18 year old to shut up if he is running his mouth. I really am surprised that anyone would find offense in that comment, especially at the college level.

Yeah, seriously.

The referee's are supposed to be professional. I don't see how telling an 18 year old kid- and yes, he's still a kid- to, "shut up," is professional in any way. Maybe it does happen all the time, that doesn't make it right.

I'm not saying it's a huge deal, or that the ref should be reprimanded in any way. It's just a personal opinion of mine that it's classless and distasteful.

Every referee has done it as some point. You are simply unnecessarily nitpicking. I'm sure what Jackson (or any player) said on the court was worse then a simple "shut up"
