Was last night the best win of the Cronin era? I say yes but considered last years BE tourney win against L'ville and this years Shootout.

Absolutely.

Damn impressive job by the coaching staff and execution by the players. Easily his most important win to date and they dominated.

I'd say his first win over Huggins' WVU team was his biggest. This has to be a close second. Not just for winning against a top 25 team on the road, but because 1) they won it in late February when they needed to for NCAA consideration when they collapsed in recent years and 2) because they broke a 20-ish or so games losing streak to top 25 teams on the road. Big win.

The WV win was big, but in terms of MC's job, where the program is heading, getting control of the team...this win was huge.
It showed that Yancy has turned the page from disgruntled to productive.
Most importantly, the GT win probably puts them into the NCAA tourney for the first time in awhile...helping with recruiting as well.
The buzz is back.

In terms of rankings and where this game fell in the scheme of the season this has to be the biggest win. To me, any time we can beat X it's my favorite win of the season but beating G'Town @ G'Town was Mick's biggest win since he's been here.

I have to agree with you, this one was huge and could lead to more that usurp it this season hopefully.

for national credit, respect, and putting a team a lot of analysts (hi doug gottlieb) have doubted and labeled a fraud repeatedly, if this wasnt the biggest win of his career, its got to be really close to it.

what scares me, is if im this excited and not on the team...what frame of mind will the players be in. Hopefully he can keep them focused on the task at hand and continues to get this energy level and effort out of them defensively.

Its an old quote, but its a great one, and i think he'll keep them on track. "The most dangerous thing today, is yesterday's success"

I think he has to focus on "see what you can do when you play like this, you've seen what happens during let downs, now keep up this energy and hustle and we can go a long way."

Care to throw out a better win?

I feel as this is his best win, being that its on the road against a very good team. I cant think of the last big road win we have had to this extent.

I'd say beating X in Cronin's first year was a better win. I also think beating WVU that same year was a better win as well as the dismantling of them @ WVU a couple years ago. I say those were better because UC had no business being in those games with the talent they had. UC has the talent this year and last nights game wasn't nearly as big as an upset as the other ones I mentioned. But in terms of importance, I'd say last nights might be the biggest.

IMO, it's a no brainer. We just beating the 5th ranked team in the RPI, on the road, to, in all likelyhood, secure a bid.

This could be the win that you can point to as when you knew the rebuilding talk should end, and we could focus on moving forward. (God, I hope so)

For most that will come with an NCAA showing. I just cant stand when a bad loss occurs, criticism arises and people automatically go back to "mick had to overcome blah blah blah"

With that being said, good lord selection sunday will be fun again for the first time in a LOOONNGGG TIME WOOO.
