Not if a team plays with mental toughness. Rim is still 10 feet high. Free throw line is still 15 feet away. The three point arc doesn't move because their are more people. The reason Pitt, Nova, and 'Cuse win on the road is because they are mentally tough. They take a punch and respond. I thought UC responded well today, but lack of mental toughness killed them when they got close.

Absolutely no excuse to get outscored 34-3 to start both halves. It is great that they can respond while being down but they need to be able to stop these runs from occuring at 10-3 instead of 18-3 and maybe 10-0 instead of 16-0. Small things like that are the reason why this isn't a top 6 Big East team.

Atmosphere has always played a big factor in college hoops and will continue too. 18-22 year olds are always going to be effected by 25,000. We saw first hand how 13,176 can be a factor in the shootout.

At least we know we aren't completely out of the game when down by 16+ points! It's nice to see us scrap and claw just to get back into games when we could very easily give up. However is sucks that we get down by that much to begin with!
Playing in the "dome" has always been a tough place to play.
