Overall the new look has been great. You can criticize the level of competition, but we played some bad teams early in the year and weren't nearly as dominant.

Having said that, our defensive rebounding numbers have gone to hell since we started the 4 guard offense. Our next 2 games are against the 3rd and best offensive rebounding teams in the country. It will be interesting to see how we combat this.

Gotta make them take long shots for long rebounds. Let them get close to the basket and it's like volleyball for them.

... I watched a little of the ND v. Pitt game last night, ND ran a very similar offense to what we have. I feel good about our chances.
Pitt doesn't have an overwhelming inside presence this year.

I heard Mick talk about that. It would be nice if Kelvin had better hands to grab rebounds away from the opponent with his unbelievable athleticism.

We'll see how they limit the interior tomorrow.

I will say we don't do a good enough job of boxing out as a whole, but honestly in these last few games our opponents have been taking quick shots and ugly shots and those lead to the ball flying anywhere and everywhere off the rim or backboard and makes rebounding more a luck of the draw. Also when teams shoot really bad they tend to get a lot of offensive rebounds for the same reason. I hate to say it but that's one reason we've been so good at offensive rebounding the last few years. They do need to get better at getting in front of their man when shots go up though.
