Mick is the man!
I loved the swagger our team showed tonight, especially Lance, Wilks and even Yancy to a degree.
Agreed.
Lance and Wilks were going nuts.
Also, Kilpatrick sat with the coaches, not at the end of the bench. He was the first guy off the bench to congratulate and pickup the players. I love it. Killa is one of my favorites 'Cats and he hasn't even stepped on the floor.
Yancy even showed a ton of emotion. He didn't want to come out of the game when he picked up this third. I was SOOOO happy that MC put him back in immediatley.
We're playing for our lives. Our best players MUST play.
Mick really relied on about 6 guys down the stretch. I have no problem with it and actually think it was the right move, but we are going to have to use our bench more tomorrow to keep our best players fresh late in the game. Hopefully a couple of guys step up. Maybe Dion will find his Maui form or Davis can find his 2009 form.
I like the intensity we are playing with, but hopefully it doesn't drain us about halfway through the game tomorrow.
Keep getting Wilks more and more PT.
As I mentioned 2 weeks ago and was brutally attacked by fellow posters!
Possesses heart, which you can't teach and his jumper and athleticism are finally getting noticed.
Just to give the other side of the story, I think all of us have always noticed and liked Wilks' athleticism, heart and jumper. The problem is that he made way too many mistakes that more than canceled out the good, most notably an insanely high turnover percentage and too many defensive breakdowns.
He has been awesome so far though. I would still limit his minutes because he does not have the ball handling to play the 3 and Gates and Thomas is our best combination of big men, but he does bring nice energy off the bench.
I loved the swagger last night.
