I thought we had a thread for this but couldn't find it. But just saw this article and it paints a pretty bleak picture

https://sports.yahoo.com/sources-college-hoops-corruption-case-poised-take-hall-fame-coaches-top-programs-lottery-picks-224417174.html

I can’t read that much stuff can someone just brief me if our name is involved or if certain schools or coaches are named.

Edmond Sumner’s name is on the list as receiving $7,000. Chris Mack is the only coach from all these teams that made a statement and said he nor the school had any knowledge.

Theoretically speaking this is certainly possible for the issue this article is talking about. It would make sense that the agent would go to the athlete/the athletes family and not try to work their way in with the coaches which would be much more risky for them.

Now if it comes out the athletes were being told to go to certain schools for taking the money then I think we have a whole other problem.

The list also showed him meeting with coaches of programs. I don’t think they were trying to hide it from coaches. This is probably something just far more common than anybody knows.

But Xavier already has ties to it with Sean miller and Emmanuel Richardson.

I’d be really worried if I was a fan of that team.

AFAIK, whether the coach "knew" or not is pretty irrelevant as far as NCAA violations go.

At least they don't have any banners that need to be taken down! That would be really embarrassing.

I heard either the basketball program or Chris Mack will receive the death penalty. Choice is up to the AD.

This happened quickly. I hate X as much as anyone, but a lethal injection for the coach??? Oh well, I'm over it.

No, for the older crowd he gave it the old Sargent Shultz from Hogan's Hero's. " I know Nothing"

Not to bring up an old debate about coaching but...

When I was in school during our final 4 year we were able to snag 13 tickets in row 2 by camping out overnight. We wanted to do something to see if we could get on ESPN (I think we were playing highly ranked Indiana). So we bought a bunch of white T-shirts and spray painted one letter on each spelling out Huggins Heroes. The cameras came over at one point but the asses in front of us would not sit down for the shot.

We were hoping it would catch on and the band would play the theme song during some games...lol!

This has to be wishful thinking or Twitter BS.
