Houston Rockets going to release Carmelo. And this was in the article in espn:

“Anthony's spot on the roster is likely to be filled by signing undrafted rookie Gary Clark, currently on a two-way contract, for the minimum. Clark has become a favorite of D'Antoni, earning the bulk of the minutes that were expected to go to Anthony.

"Gary Clark's a player," D'Antoni said after the Rockets outscored the Pacers by 16 in Clark's 33 minutes Sunday. "He's a player. Defense, rebounding, right position, shoots the ball. I mean, he's a player."

Really excited for Gary! He still has the potential to get a lot better on the offensive end if he can develop his ball skills. The way he is popping his 3's right now we may have not used him to his full potential on the perimeter. His range looks to be way out there!!

Would anyone be surprised by that?

lol are we going to pretend now like this isn't a skill gary developed late in his career?

He still played the majority of him game within 10ft of the basket when he easily could have spread the floor leaving more room for Cumberland, Evans, and Broome to drive. Mick still coaches offense like it's 2005.

Our starting 5 last year were all 3pt shooters teams had to respect yet we rarely used that to our advantage.

He's 30% from 3 so not exactly lighting it up. He's getting minutes because of his d.

Clark has hit three 3’s and doing all the Clark things that make him great.

Evans getting some PT and he hit a 3.

Coach Cronin got a bunch of good pub for the program tonight for his prepping of Gary and Jake for the NBA. Good Stuff.

Gary is gonna be one of those guys with a 10+ year career and people won't understand how he did it.

He's just good at everything. He always makes the right play.

The guy is getting full articles on ESPN written about him. Who saw that coming 2 months ago.

Mick should play the clip from the game for future recruits. It was said that, Clark is NBA ready because of playing for Cronin and his Bearcats defense. That is great pub. Rarely do you hear NBA announcers mention college coaches and when they do, it is a short list.

As a guy who grew up watching Oscar play it was still easy for me to come to this conclusion. Gary Clark is my all time favorite Bearcat.

Yup, he surpassed Kenyon by his junior season for me. Just the absolute epitome of what I want as a Bearcat. Does everything the right way and worked his tail off to get where he's at.
Having said that, I really want his jersey retired. Any chance that'll happen?

If it was up to me it would happen tonight.

A major reason that Clark is NBA ready and playing like a vet is he stayed for 4 years. I doubt many recruits want to hear that you have to stay in school for 4 years, they want to bolt after 2-3 max.

The NBA is desperate for defenders right now. Teams are more specifically desperate for smart defenders that understand how to play in a shifting defense. Which Cronin just so happens to be an expert at teaching. It isn’t a sexy thing to preach during recruiting but if the NBA needs defenders....we can produce them.

Damn, Cronin screwed that up too, letting him stay that last year :D. I kid... I kid...:D
