I believe Clark has been a valuable part of the lineup, and with his absence in the second half due to hurting his knee, hurt UC last night. What is his status for the remainder of the season?

Coach Davis didn't seem worried about it in his post game interview. Although he did say he injured that same knee in high school so it is a possibility of a reoccurring injury..

From what I can tell from the post game interview it sounds like clark's patella subluxed. It sounds like he had a similar issue in highschool. Sometimes this type of injury recurs and sometimes it does not. Sometimes it causes structural damage sometimes it does not (it sounds like it did not in this case). Hopefully it does not become a chronic problem because it requires a major surgery to correct if it does. I can also tell you from first hand experience this type of injury is not in Collisemo's (UC's orthopedic surgeon) wheel house.

Its probably best to sit him out a little bit. We will have to lean on Deberry and Moore a little bit more. I just don't want to lose him for tournament time.

Moore?

Quadri Moore has been a big disappointment to me. I cannot see relying on him to cover for Clark. I do believe there is some underlying talent there, but it has yet to surface. He seems slow, in a daze, very unsure of himself, and in a stupor--no hustle. Am I missing something?

I think he hasn't adjusted to the skill level of a High D1 caliber of baskeball player. The speed of the game looks to be a major hurdle for him. He seems disinterested but maybe it's because he is so unsure of things. He looks to have some skill. I would think over the spring and summer he should be able to get more settled. I'm actually surprised at the minutes he is getting but eventually you do have to play him so he can get settled a bit going forward.

Moore and Deberry aren't in the shape they need to be in yet. If Clark can't go you will see Shaq at the 4 imo. Deberry physically isn't going to give you more than about 18 minutes. I would go with TC, KJ, Sanders, Shaq and Ellis if Clark can't go. Hopefully he at least can give you bench minutes.

Larry Davis has said in an interview after the game the Clark will be fine and ready to go by Tuesday, according to Bearcatjournal.
