Time for some real sports talk. On Jan.2, the city of Mason is playing host to one of the most epic amateur basketball contests you will find in the state. At 7 p.m. at Courts4Sports in Mason, Team Donaghy Bets on Us is taking on Team America. You don't see games of this caliber often, for free, but you can do just that on this evening. The early line has Team Donaghy Bets on Us as a -7 favorite, but that is banking on the fact that Tim Prince is healthy and fully-recovered from a cheapshot elbow that split his face open during an epic game last week. If Prince and teammate Eric Thompson are on (and let's be honest, these two are rarely "off"), this game is easy money (trust me, every local bookie will be taking action on this game).

On the other hand, if Team America can get Nick Hughes untracked from his shooting slump, this game could unfold differently. Josh Clock has established himself as the best unsigned basketball talent in the city, and if Hughes can hit from the outside, this game could go down as epic as Xavier-Kansas State from last year's tournament.

Ha- this is pretty classic. I guess these two posters are legit bball players. Also- I think I might check his comedy show out Tom or Sunday. Both start at 8 and its only 4 bucks with a canned food item so could be kinda fun.

To this day I view you as an ineligible player. You were once payed to play basketball (professional) and therefor you should not be allowed to play on a men's league type of team. I'm honestly shocked no one has called you out on it yet.

The fact that you played for a team that payed you the most, then left them and declared yourself as a "free agent" and spent time on many other teams throughout the..ahem...10 week season, tells me you shouldn't be allowed to play organized basketball again. You made a mockery of that league. There should be a lifetime ban placed on you, because no other intramural team was paying it's players. It was widely known that you were a corrupt player. Had this not been your junior season, I would have been the first one protesting your eligibility for the senior year.

Yes I am talking about high school intramural basketball, and yes I want a lifetime ban for the stunts he pulled during his senior year campaign, that directly led to the corruption of the intramural basketball season. It was later leaked that before the season started, after hearing about your "pay to play" deals, one of the members of the eventual championship team went out and payed for an all star team. To this day there is much speculation on who that member was, but he is not the one at fault. The corruption started with you, and to this day no one has forgotten that tainted season. Thus, you should not be allowed to play organized basketball ever again.

I'll also let you know, you are currently being investigated for paying the players on the team you currently coach. After the hearing (which I'm hoping will happen in a few months) you will be banned from all basketball gyms in the Cincinnati area.

Is it true that I was promised lunches at Moeller high school for playing on a intramural team?

No comment.

Is it true that I am the only person to test free agency before the impending playoffs?

No comment.

Am I currently paying players for the only undefeated team in the Sunday night adult league at courts4sports....

That is a big negative. Although improper benefits may have been offered.
