UC played an awesome game against Louisville. They played what I thought was a solid performance up until the 7 minute mark yesterday.

With that being said, I think 1 more win puts UC in. There first opportunity is Wednesday against Gtown. On the road vs a good team will be tough, hopefully UC will bring it. Thoughts about gtown on a short week?

Gtown is beatable, but going to need more solid play from the bigs, as well as having Cash and either Dixon/Davis to step up.

It can't be a two man show to beat the Hoyas. Plus, gotta play 40 minutes, not 33.

in their past 3 homes games, marquette, providence, and louisville played them close. marquette shows as 9 point win for gtown, but marquette led the first 32 minutes of that game. while i do not think UC pulls this game out, i think it is very winnable.

I think one more win will force us to win at least one in the tourney and keep our fingers crossed. If we do only win one, hopefully its one of the three vs. a ranked team just to have that extra quality W. Although a win vs. Marquette puts us over them. Lets win at least two of these and I'll be very confident.

To me two wins is the magic number. I see no way they can be kept out with 10 Big East wins. I think any combination and they are fine.

If they finish with 9 wins they will need at least 1 possibly 2 in the the BEast tournament to guarantee a spot.

They lack of respect is worrying me. A win at Gtown would be big and help remove that negative persception.

I believe this team matches up very well with the Hoyas. Bishop will draw Freeman as a defensive assignment. Gates should have an advantage inside. My guess is it will be a game in the 60's. Don't know why but I feel good about this homestretch!

I am not going to be able to watch the game live. I will not be off work until 11 or so. I am turning off the phone and watching it when I get home. I hope they make it worth it.

Remember to DVR it over the time incase of OT. Glad I remembered for the Providence game. I taped a game a couple years ago that cut out right at the start of OT, I had to scramble to find a score and was pissed I watched two hours of a game and couldn't see the outcome.

UC cannot mentally complete a fast break. Should be up 5-1. Offense not looking sharp early.

They struggle so bad with the fast break. It is almost like missing free throws. Eventually they can add up but hopefully they will keep trying them haha

I have a bad feeling this is going to be one of those games where a touch foul is called on one end and a mugging is allowed to happen on the other. Brings back memories of ND. I hope I am wrong. So far, not so much. A little concerned is an understatement.

Did anyone see the Syracuse and Nova game Monday night? Might have been the worst officiated game I have seen all year. The last minute of the first half was an embarassment for the Big East Officials.

I could play lock down defense against anyone on UC right now the way they are doing nothing on the offensive side. But the D is looking solid thankfully.

The press has been great so far for the Bearcats. They are really playing good ball right now. Hope this continues all game long.

I did notice that! Funny how all year of watching a lot of BE games, for the level of play, the ref's are not up to speed. Do you think/know if the BE coaches get together in the off season and discuss things like that.

I know they talk about it but I don't know if anything ever gets done. It's almost like some of these guys have tenure or something.

Gtown has two baskets in about 12 minutes. Great D!

However, the next time I see Gates get the ball near the arc with 10 seconds left, I'm going to scream. He KILLS the offense at that point. Definitely needs to stay down low and either look to score or pass out.
Cmon Mick! It's not rocket science.

Mick needs to change up the defense and go man to man for a couple possessions. Georgetown is figuring out the zone. Don't abandon it, just put it in the back pocket for a bit.

As I type this, Mick goes small. Wait until Cash and Dixon are back in and then go man for a bit.
