After every Cincinnati home game, long after the fans have exited and the only people in the stands are members of the cleanup crew, Davis can be seen launching shot after shot after shot.

"I started doing that this year," Davis told me after the Notre Dame win. "Things weren't going the best for me at the beginning of the year and I'm here to play basketball, so I might as well be in the gym. I've definitely noticed a difference."

The kid can score, I think right now it's all about confidence for him. If he makes his first shot then look out. If he misses his first two or three then he kind of disappears. Pretty typical of a freshman, that will get better with time. The fact that he displays this kind of a work ethic is a huge plus for this team. Maybe the next leader of this team when Cash is gone. He could be a huge asset for this team a couple years from now.

I know it's irrational but I find myself not liking him because he wears #0 and because he has Davis III on the back of his jersey. The equipment manager needs to get him a real number and drop the III from the back of his jersey.

I dont mind the III. Not a big fan of the 0.... maybe 00 would look better but idk.

Not convinced he won't be moved to the 2 and a pg brought in. He is better suited for the wing.

He very well could become a 2, so I guess if the leader is always the PG then he could be classified as a role model. I think the PG of future is either going to be Davis of Guyn. If we can get a top notch PG then Mick should go for it, he really needs to go out and get us some bigs with the next few signings.

Davis has gained a lot of confidence since the start of the season, his shot has improved.
