Lets go back to the year before we joined the BE. If the C-USA would have kept everyone and we would still have Huggins would you take that over joining the Big East and being where we are today? Or, do you think being in the Big East will be great in the long run and we will be greatful for being in this league?

(Strictly basketball-I know for football it has helped big time and if you add the football program in it is clear BE was the right move)

For basketball, it would have been better with this team and coach. If Huggins were here (or Kennedy), the BE would have been fine as our recruiting wouldn't have taken such a hit.

Hard to tell.

I actually think Huggins was going to be gone eventually whether Nancy canned him or not. To be honest, the teams UC had in the early 2000's (after Steve Logan led squad) was not as good as the teams we had in the 90's I recently read a Mike DeCourcey article and it indicated Huggins was burnt out at UC and was ready for a change. It certainly appeared that way based on what I saw on the court in 2003, 20004 based on the personal demons (health/alcohol) that Huggs was coping with.
