Considering every bubble team is losing....it isn't that big of a stretch. I hate to sound lime Mr. Optimism but Gtown is another resume builder. We have 4 wins in the top 50....hard to find that among other bubble teams.

I agree that we are still on the outside.....but we are on the bubble. This team can make an improbable run to the tournament. Win at gtown....things get interesting.

We will have a likely win in the 1st rd of the BE tournament and if we get a favorable matchup in the 2nd rd we maybe playing for a tournament birth. Have to win at Gtown first.

Our track record down the stretch is pretty bad. It would take a win at Gtown, and another 2 wins to even get consideration. Until we do that, I'm not wasting time worrying about it.

I dont know guys it seems far far far fetched but here we go.

I think we would need to beat Georgetown, win the first round game, win the second round game and quarterfinal game.

Losing in Semi-finals to a top 25 team wouldnt kill us knowing our 3rd round game would be a top 10 team more than likely.

That would make us 20-14.

Chances: 5%

I dont think wins @ Georgetown and then lets say Rutgers and Marquette would be enough... Who knows

I will watch regardless. I will probably go to a couple NIT games if they are at home.

It's not far-fetched that UC could pull it off. But I saw the espn classic game from 2006 against Nova yesterday.
They had Hicks, Chad Moore, James White, Jihad, McGowen, and Downey. Pretty much no bench as Armein went down prior to the game.
As bad as we thought that team was, and how thin the team was..I'd take that team over the current one any day of the week. I used to moan how bad they were offensively then. But with Downey and Jihad, they got alot more flow into the offense.

I just don't see our team competing well offensively for more than five minutes at a time. Tough to win games that way.
But..you never know.

I think those wins would put us squarely on the bubble, if not in the dance. With a top 20 SOS, 6 top 50 wins, and no bad losses.....that is an impressive resume.

Its interesting bc there are so many bubble teams. It seems there is more at stake this year in conference tournaments than previously bc there are so many teams with work left to do. There aren't too many teams that are solidly in the tournament, therefore, we have a fighting chance.....STILL
