Isaiah Pead in Critical Condition

Per ESPN former UC star running back Isaiah Pead was involved in a single car accident and underwent surgery at 7am this morning. He is in critical condition at a Columbus, OH hospital. Prayers to him and his family and friends.

Doesn't sound good. Apparently he hit a guard rail at a high rate of speed and was ejected.

Unfortunately Pead lost part of his left leg and his football career is over. Luckily he was able survive the crash though but will need plenty of prayers to help him through this. So prayers to Isaiah and his family.

That's very tough to read. I hope he recovers well and has a good support system.

Early reports are no alcohol or drugs were involved. Looks like he just had a blowout and lost control. His passenger was treated for minor injuries and released from the hospital.

That passenger was Wesley Richardson (former UC player) who was wearing his seat belt. I understand the focus on Pead but we should not forget that Richardson was involved and injured in this (thankfully not as seriously) also.
