Too bad he doesn't have another year of eligibilty remaining (or does he?)

Get him into practice and toughen these guys up; gotta love Parker.

With Strickland still waiting, JDIII leaving, and Morman hurt we actually need him in practice. His presence will probably be good for the young guys too.

Forgive my ignorance... are graduate assistants allowed to participate in practice just as an eligible player would? Sounds like a great deal for both Parker and the Bearcats. He gets to work out and continue developing his game while he finishes school, and the Bearcats essentially get a leader to teach the young guys and an extra body in practice.

I just assumed as a "coach" he could mix it up with them a little, just as Mick technically could. I wouldn't call it practicing, but just being an engaged coach.

I was wondering the same thing. My guess is no he can't put on a jersey and just be another guy in practice. But there's a fine line between showing you what to do in a live drill and you playing with them. For instance, "Hey we're going to run that play, again. Hey Jaquon, you get in there in place of Kevin and show them how to defend that play" or "you get in there and show them how to do this or that, but lets run it in real time."

My only concern is he's not even a year removed from the program and he was a teammate to half of these guys. Kind of got to wonder what kind of reception/respect he will get and even deserve. I'm guessing Mick will bring him into things slowly and just see what kind of help he can bring to the team. I doubt he has a defined role as of now. Will be interesting to see. I get to attend a live practice on Thursday next week and hope to get to see some stuff we all normally don't get to see.
