MUNCIE — Former Central standout Jeremiah Davis III is now officially on the Ball State basketball team.
Davis transferred from the University of Cincinnati to Ball State to support his family, which lost its Muncie home to a fire in November.
“Right now, I just want to be close to them. I’m going through a lot with myself and my family and our situation,” said Davis, the 2009-10 Star Press boys basketball Athlete of the Year. “But continuing to play the game of basketball that I love at Ball State University is a great honor, and it’s a great opportunity.”
The 6-foot-3 redshirt sophomore guard will be ineligible to play for the Cardinals the remainder of the season, but he will be permitted to participate in practices.
