OXFORD, Ohio--What is believed to be the first worldwide webcast of its kind takes place on Wednesday, Feb. 3, from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. (EST), as Miami University's athletics website--www.MURedHawks.com--tells an international audience about its 2010 football recruiting class.

Sponsored by Miami Savings Bank, RedHawk Recruiting Live will feature six full hours of free live recruiting announcements and appearances by nearly 50 current student-athletes and other special guests on MURedHawks.com's all-access channel.

Miami's 2010 signees for soccer, field hockey, and women's track and field also will be unveiled during the webcast.

Miami Savings Bank RedHawk Recruiting Live will emanate from the football offices at Miami's Yager Stadium. Along with a RedHawk camera crew, hosts Steve Baker, "Voice of the RedHawks", and Tim Bray of the Miami ISP Radio Network will give fans a never-before-seen inside look at the excitement of collegiate NLI Day.

As commitments to Miami's 2010 football recruiting class arrive, fans who tune in will be the first to know which high school stars will be playing college football for the Red and White.

Fans also will personally meet an impressive group of student-athletes who have transferred to Miami University and who will be eligible for the upcoming 2010 season.

Fans also will be able to use Twitter to "tweet" their recruiting questions to Head Football Coach Michael Haywood and his staff. Haywood will answer fans' queries for a segment at least once every hour.

I was just mentioning this yesterday how UC and the local media should provide greater coverage to National Signing Day.

It would be a good idea if the Cincy media did something on signing day. The cincy area produces alot of top talent and some kind of special show by the media could end up helping the bearcats with recruiting.
