Seems another very early commit has backed out from the '11 class:

"Daniels reports that Louisville and Indianapolis Lawrence North Class of 2011 center Michael Chandler have parted ways. Chandler had given the Cardinals a verbal commitment in January of 2009"

He states he still feels committed to the Cardinals, but wants to explore other options.

Friends with Teague. Maybe this is a sign that Teague is not going to Louisville. I know a school that would love to have both of them.

I think UC should definitely look into him, and try to get him out from under the Pitino headlock.

This doesnt have that smell yet. I don't see any connection but of coarse it could be happening. Maybe your a little paranoid.... I hope.

Looking forward to this announcement, but I'm kinda feeling like BA1 here. I'm worried things have made a wide UK swing.

Are we going to discuss every decommit as a possible option for the Cats?
This is getting ridiculous.

Evan Daniels of Scout.com with a late-night news story that I had been trying to track on Friday.

Daniels reports that Louisville and Indianapolis Lawrence North Class of 2011 center Michael Chandler have parted ways. Chandler had given the Cardinals a verbal commitment in January of 2009.

Chandler's uncle, Allan Chandler, emailed Scout.com on Friday informing them of the news but the 6-foot-11 Chandler didn't sound as firm about the decision.

"I mean I feel as though I'm still committed to Louisville," Chandler, who plays AAU ball for the Derrick Rose All-Stars, told Scout.com. "But I'm open for other schools to recruit me."

Louisville still has commitments from Lawrence North forward Ryan Taylor, Ohio forward Zach Price and Chicago standout Wayne Blackshear.

Another prized target for 2011 - Indianapolis Pike guard - Marquis Teague will announce his decision - between U of L and Kentucky - next Thursday

This is completely relevant to talk about because of the Teague connection. We could be looking at a package deal here and if so, the first domino to fall will be Teague. Since we are still in the race for Teague, this is relevant IMO.

What else have we to talk about that might be somewhat constructive? Certainly, MC is thinking/looking into them as well, and if not, shame on him.

what is WWW? I keep seeing it mentioned in connection with Kentucky and Calipari. The only www I know is world wide web.

Worldwide Wes is a guy who has serious connections with AAU camps, shoe companies and recruits. Every guy he touches goes with Calipari. WWW doesnt have a job but somehow get by very nicely. What Calipari is giving him I dont know but it is a sleezy sleezy situation.

He was previously recruited and offered by UC as stated, but even if not, why is it ridiculous? Players backing out of commits offers new possibilities and it's only natural to pursue them.

he is an employee of the CAA (creative arts agency- largest sports/entertainment firm out there) and is a runner for Leon Rose. He now is going to be an agent for the CAA starting this year.

So if WWW becomes an agent for the CAA and it is deemed he has any contact with any recruits, that becomes a major violation then, right?

Obviously, I know better than to think he will keep his nose out of things and Cal will use him just as often as he did before. They'll just find another way around the rules. Once a snake, always a snake.
